Raymond Ackerman Academy – PROJECT OVERVIEW
BRIEF:

The client, an entrepreneurial development academy, felt that the look and feel of the old office did not reflect their brand or their innovative and modern approach to entrepreneurial teaching. It was important that the office gave off an inviting, fresh, functional and professional look. They also felt that the office was a great opportunity to showcase graduate entrepreneur businesses and therefore briefed KoKreativ (graduates of the Academy) to design the new office look.

The design of the furniture is the focal point of the entire office and it was important that the design and function tie together to create a sense of uniformity, and the impression that the furniture was part of a collection.

OUTCOME:

The client was extremely happy with the quality, design and workmanship of the furniture that was designed and manufactured, as well as the overall office refurbishmen. It exceeded their expectations on all levels and they were most proud of the fact that they were able to tell all visitors that the office was designed and equipped by an Academy graduate business. The office showcase has also lead to other business opportunities from visitors to the office who were impressed with the space.

PROTEA HOTEL BWL TRANSIT LOUNGE
– PROJECT OVERVIEW
BRIEF:

A mixture of various materials was used to create the look, feel and functionality of this lounge.

OUTCOME:

The entire lounge was furnished by Ko Kreativ Projects. The lounge is fitted with brushed stainless steel counters and wooden bar chairs. The sofa and occasional chairs were designed and manufactured by us. Taking into consideration that this is a high traffic area, beautiful commercial fabric with rub counts of up to 80 000 rubs was used for the furniture.

KEVIN VERMAAK – PROJECT OVERVIEW
BRIEF:

The client had a vision of a rocking horse with a twist for his son.

Being the founder of The Cape Epic cycling race and a cycling enthusiast, he wanted to add bicycle features to the rocking horse, turning the traditional completely on its head.

OUTCOME:

It was an absolute pleasure working with Ameera and Tauriq. I had a unique request, and their patience to understand my concept and expertise to execute it allowed us to create an item with which I was extremely satisfied.

Not to mention my son for whom hardly a day passes that he does not rock his rocking bike!
- Kevin Vermaak

KAREN VAN WYK – PROJECT OVERVIEW
BRIEF:

A few areas in the house needed to be filled with some furniture to allow for adequate storage and to enhance and fit in with the existing interior. We added a mixture of MDF sprayed white, and oak.

ALAN WEBB – PROJECT OVERVIEW

The client wanted to re-use as much of the existing material as possible.

Bamboo was mostly used as it is environmently-friendly.

OUTCOME:

We altered all the doors and drawers to be fitted with push-to-open and soft-close mechanisms. The island was designed by the client and custom made by us. The entire kitchen is fitted with solid bamboo tops and drawer fronts.

PROJECT ATTIC – PROJECT OVERVIEW
BRIEF:

A small apartment in Vredehoek had no other option but to have the bedroom in the upstairs attic. The layout of the built-in units was drawn up by an interior designer who trusted our ability to build these items in a very confined space.

OUTCOME:

The custom built-in cupboards were constructed at an angle as well as on top of the staircase. We welded a steel bed base in two parts for easy access into the confined space. This allowed for adequate storage space underneath.

A resourceful team of skilled cabinet makers working together to custom craft unique pieces that creatively enhance interiors and spaces. Close collaboration and understanding the unique needs of our clients ensures excellent service delivery.
